bullying whether verbal or physical hurts a great deal. It wounds self-esteem and, if unaddressed, can escalate to where it results in severe emotional and physical injury .
but, as we've learned over the last few years, a large percentage of our children are affected by bullying and the problem is getting worse . This increased awareness about the prevalence and impact of bullying is an important step in addressing this devastating problem but now we need solutions.
that's what the anti-bullying store is all about. The anti-bulling store is based on the work of the late dr. George thompson, who had studied methods to prevent and de-escalate conflict for over 27 years, published four books (with over 300,000 copies sold) and trained more than 1 million people throughout the world. In 2009, a major effort was undertaken to apply dr. Thompson's methodologies to the problem of bullying which resulted in the formation of the anti-bully store.
