at the age of 5 i got my first pony. I m not sure if it was my birthday or for christmas, but buttercup was a little pinto pony and my entire world. Since then, i have owned and trained many horses and i ve read hundreds of horse books. My book shelves are lined with books on horse care, english riding, western riding, natural horsemanship techniques and more. I ve watched videos on training and regularly watched rfd-tv. I even got my degree in equine business.
over the years, i ve been given good advice and bad advice. I ve fallen for the myths and i ve known which ones to avoid. I ve had people tell me what i should be doing, when i knew better. The point is that when you buy a horse, everyone becomes an expert and you have to weed your way through all the good and the bad advice.
since horses had always been my passion, i knew i had to become more educated and learn from people that really knew what they were talking about people who were doctors and had degrees so, i went to west texas a&m university and decided that i would major in equine business. After four years of studying horses, learning how to jump and helping other students with simple tasks such as picking out feet and grooming, i knew that i had to put everything i knew and learned into a book for people like you. People who love horses, want to own their own horse and want to ensure they are providing the best care for them that they possible can people like you.
